Tempranillo is multi-dimensional, the primary flavors, known as the the flavors of the grape variety in its "own", emanate aromas of fresh raspberry, juicy red cherries, cherry tomato, and hints of secondary flavors that comes from the winemaker intervention adding American traditional barrels that add coconut, vanilla, white peppery notes to this wine. If you decide to age Tempranillo, expect notes of tertiary flavors as dried roses, potpourri, and dried meat.
